Review: Archos 97 Carbon, the competitor for Google Nexus 7
Technology company based in France, Archos, announces entry-level Android tablet in the series premiere ELEMENTS. The first models of the Archos 97 series is called Carbon. The tablet has a IPS screen measuring 9.7 inches with a resolution of 1024 x768. Although still using Android in tablet Ice Cream Sandwich, but it could be the toughest competitor for Google Nexus 7 Archos 97 Carbon offered at competitive prices, around $ 249.
Archos 97 is powered by Carbon Single-core ARM processor speed 1GHz and 1GB RAM. It will have 16 GB of internal memory embedded as well as a MicroSD slot up to 32 GB. There are 2 MP primary camera and 0.3 MP front camera for video chat.
Archos CEO Henri Crohas said the Archos 97 Carbon combines affordability with an attractive slim design. To give the impression of class, this tablet-style use of aluminum with a thickness of 11.4 mm and weighs only about 618 grams. The tablet is also a manifestation of the balance between hardware, software optimization and content contained within Google ecosystem Play. Archos includes Office Suite Viewer application and game World of Goo demo version on the tablet.
Archos 97 Carbon became available in July 2012 in the United States at a price of U.S. $ 249.99, and in the UK for £ 219.99,
